About Rowan

Rowan Hart is a fictional South Carolina singer-songwriter and multimedia music persona whose world is rooted in the people, places and stories of the Carolinas.

Set around Columbia and the Lake Wylie area, Rowan’s story follows a young songwriter and bartender finding his way through college-town nights, Southern summers, relationships, mistakes and the moments when life doesn’t quite turn out the way you expected. His music blends indie folk-rock, country-rock and Americana with a strong sense of place and a narrative-driven approach to songwriting.

Rowan’s musical world was shaped by church hymns, his grandparents’ vinyl collection and the songs he encounters growing up in the Carolinas. Those influences show up throughout the catalog in acoustic guitars, banjo, vocal harmonies and melodies that favor warmth and emotional clarity over polish.

The character and his world are created by a human creative team. Songs are written and developed by real people, while generative technologies are used as creative tools to bring Rowan’s voice, image and performances to life. The result is neither a conventional recording artist nor simply a technology experiment, but an evolving multimedia story told through music.

From songs like “Pages We Never Wrote,” “Forever Is Not Long Enough,” “Stars in the Skies, Stars in Our Eyes,” “100 Miles from Charleston” and “A Lot More Free,” Rowan’s catalog moves through love, memory, growing up, longing and the strange uncertainty of figuring out what comes next.

The technology is how Rowan exists. The stories are why he exists.

Listen to Rowan’s music, follow his stories, and spend a little time in his world.
